FOR THE FUTURE OF THE INDUSTRY

The Symposium Feines Essen + Trinken has been a key think tank for the food industry for three decades. Experienced personalities from food retail, industry, gastronomy and the consulting sector are the valuable driving force for the dialogue platform that is Symposium Feines Essen + Trinken. Trends and pioneering developments take shape on this platform. Developing visions and providing inspiration for a positive further development of the industry are just two of the wide range of tasks of the three partners of Feines Essen + Trinken GmbH.

Heritage of the Symposium Feines Essen + Trinken is continued

The foundation of the symposium was based on the idea of establishing a dialogue platform with strong communication and interesting content between all parties involved in the food industry in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region. To this end, the association Symposium Feines Essen and Trinken e.V. was founded in 1990 by a number of managers from trade and industry and to this day has been developed with great personal commitment into an important initiative in the industry. With its expertise and wide network, it has been a driving force for the industry for more than 30 years..

Since January 2022, the association Symposium Feines Essen and Trinken e.V. has entered into a forward-looking cooperation with Lebensmittelpraxis Verlag and the agency Söllner Communications with the aim of raising the symposium to the next level in terms of organisation, content and stronger media impact. With further forward-looking content, the use of synergies between the cooperation partners and a media-strong presence, the symposium would like to further strengthen and expand its importance as a dialogue platform in the food industry in the medium and long term. In order to achieve these goals, the joint venture Feines Essen and Trinken GmbH was founded between the cooperation partners.

THE PARTNERS

Feines Essen + Trinken GmbH has been leading the dialogue platform into the fourth decade of design since 2022. The three partners combine in-depth specialist knowledge, an instinct for acute industry issues and a passionate curiosity for the future of the food industry. In addition to the association, Lebensmittelpraxis-Verlag and Söllner Communications AG are also partners of Feines Essen + Trinken GmbH.

As part of the joint venture, the association Symposium Feines Essen and Trinken e.V. will remain as a shareholder through its board and association members and continue to actively help shape the symposium.

Experts

Key decision makers from various levels of management represent trade and industry. Topics from gastronomy are put forward by Johann Lafer. Other leading specialists in the expert group are Edmund Pillekamp, Hubert Schumacher, Julia Wehrmann and Heinrich Weck, as well as Olaf Bekiersch, Heribert Geiselbacher, Rainer Göths and Karsten Pabst. They are all opinion leaders contributing to driving new developments. The demands and needs of the food industry always remain in the foreground, as is only right for the many exhibitors of and visitors to this unique forum.

Over 300 leading decision makers from the industry are expected in 2023, and on 15th and 16th of June they will get to meet start-ups, innovators and major players from the food industry and gastronomy. From the total number of trade participants, 18 companies are currently engaged in a long-term commitment to the Symposium on Fine Food + Drink through the special trade partnership. For 2023, we plan to raise this number to 25 trade partners.
